POTTSVILLE -- The Pottsville Junior Lady Apaches cross country team won its home meet, the Pottsville Cross Country Invitational, with a team time of 51:52 on Tuesday.
Top runners for the Junior Lady Apaches were Drue Hollis in sixth place, Tawnie Sweeden in seventh place, Karsyn Moudy finished eighth place and Mayli Martin in 10th-place.
The Dover Junior Lady Pirates finished second led by Abree McCrotty with a time of 9:29. She was followed by: Emily Jones 10:29, Carley Nantze 10:26, Tori Metzer 10:43, Whitley Singleton 10:46, Zoie Stutzman 11:53, Piper Koster 12:10, Bailey Titsworth 12:10, Jaidyn Eby 12:14, Ella Beene 13:06, Savanah Doubenheyer 13:16, Allyson Casey 13:20, Cady Metzer 13:25, Olivia Mercier 14:59, Bailey Metzer 15:44, Hannah Clayton 15:48, Kylie Hodge 15:51, Dessie Bull 15:55, Ava Morland 15:55, Lucy Wagner 16:23, Ciarra Shoufler 18:40, Bailey Damon 19:00 and Elouse Chesser 22:53.
The Pottsville Junior Apaches finished third, led by Jaxson Cow with his second-place overall finish.
The Junior Pirates finished fourth led by Landon Canfield with the time of 8:55. He was followed by Josh Soto 9:17, Russell Rook 9:23, Xain Eby 9:53, Jakob Lang 10:50, Kaleb Raney 11:02, Ty Bates 11:37, Zakary Lang 12:07, CJ Hogins 12:21 and Clay Drake 18:25.
The Pottsville Lady Apaches had three runners in the top 20 -- Shannon Lasey, Maggie Gregory and Josie Schroeder.
The Lady Pirates were led by Bekah Williams, Brynn Bates and Caitlyn Drake.
The Pirates were led by Issac Linsey in 25:58, followed by Seth Wagner in 28:50.
