Dover golf wins in Ozark

OZARK -- The Dover Pirates golf team faced the host Ozark Hillbillies and Pottsville Apaches in a match on Tuesday.

Dover's Kaleb Williams was the individual winner with a round of 37, followed by Tyson Bradford with a score of 39 for second place.

Alex Drace shot 43 to finish out the top three and had Dover a team score of 119 and the win.

Ozark finished second with a score of 124, followed by Pottsville with 133.

Other top competitors for Dover were Alex Schalk with 43 and Ayden Boley with 60.

"Kaleb has been playing very well as of late and is starting to peak at the right time headed into the conference match," said Pirates head coach Ben Stiles. "Tyson Bradford has been working hard on his game, and it starting to show as he has shot back-to-back career-low scores his last two matches."

On the women's side of the event, Dover finished third with a team score of 148. Booneville won the event with 140, followed by the Lady Hillbillies with 130.

Jaqueline Fields led the Lady Pirates with a score of 47, followed by Conor Chance with 49. Ruthie Musgrove shot 52.

Dover finished with a team score of 148.

Also competing for the Lady Pirates was Ryleigh Norris, who shot 60 for the match.
