DOVER — The Lady Pirates were defeated 11-5 by the Clarksville Lady Panthers on Friday at J.P. Lovelady Park.

Dover scored one in the first inning, but Clarksville added two in the third to go up 2-1. After the fourth inning, the score was tied 4-4 and 6-6 after the fifth.

The Lady Panthers got the go-ahead run in the sixth with two runs. They added four more in the seventh.

Dayven Pledger was the winning pitcher. She went seven innings, allowed five runs on seven hits and struck out four and walked zero.

Jacqueline Fields took the loss. She went seven innings, allowed 11 runs on 11 hits and struck out one.

Bekah Williams hit a home run in the fourth inning.
